Chopin holds a special place in the hearts of all pianists, a tragic life cut short. I have learnt several of his pieces.

Beethoven

A Favourite of all pianists. Requiring a dry sound, with an emotional intensity unmatched by his contemporaries. His Sonatas are paticular favourites of mine and I have learnt several of them:

Sonata no.12, op.31 in a♭ major
sonata no.7, op.10 no.3 in d major
sonata no.8, op.13 in c minor "Pathetique"
sonata no.21, op.53 in c major "Waldstein"
